Bellary

Bellary (bəlärˈē) [key], city (1991 pop. 245,391), Karnataka state, SE India. It is a district administrative center and a road and rail hub with a domestic airport. Iron and manganese deposits are nearby. Its manufactures include cotton textiles, liquor, and refined sugar.
