Coppermine

Coppermine, river, 525 mi (845 km) long, rising in Lac de Gras, Northwest Territories, Canada, and winding northwest to enter the Arctic Ocean at Coronation Gulf in Nunavut Territory. Kugluktuk, formerly Coppermine, a trading post, is at its mouth.
