Dhamar

Dhamar or Damar (both: dämärˈ) [key], town (1994 pop. 82,920), S central Yemen, in a valley between two volcanic peaks. Dhamar is a market and religious center, known for its thoroughbred horses and its ancient Muslim theological school.
