Ebbw Vale

Ebbw Vale (ĕbˈō) [key], Welsh Glyn Ebwy, town (1981 pop. 24,422), Blaenau Gwent, SE Wales. A former coal-mining town, it is a retail and industrial center with steelworks and tin-plate factories. Labour politician Aneurin Bevan was born there.
