Grossbeeren

Grossbeeren (grōsbārˈən) [key], village, Brandenburg, E Germany. There, in 1813, Friedrich Wilhelm von Bülow, using the Prussian militia for the first time, defeated the French under Oudinot, thus protecting Berlin.
