Harrogate (hărˈōgĭt, –gāt) [key], city (1991 pop. 68,637), North Yorkshire, N central England. It is residential with a tourist and health resort, having more than 80 mineral springs. Harrogate is also a popular trade exhibition center and has varied light industry.
