IwakuniIwakuni (ēwäˈkōnē) [key], city (1990 pop. 109,530), Yamaguchi prefecture, SW Honshu, Japan, on the Aki Sea. The site of Iwakuni International Airport, the city contains petrochemical, paper, and metal machine-tool industries.
