Mollendo

Mollendo (mōyĕnˈdō) [key], town (1993 pop. 26,724), S Peru, a port on the Pacific Ocean. Mollendo exports wool and has industries producing cement, textiles, canned fish, and cheese. It is also a popular beach resort.
