Nettilling Lake

Nettilling Lake (nĕchˈĭlĭng) [key], freshwater lake, 1,956 sq mi (5,066 sq km), S Baffin Island, Nunavut Territory, Canada; one of the largest lakes entirely within Canada. It is located in an arctic lowland region and is fed by Amadjuak Lake and by numerous streams that drain the tundra. It empties through the Koukdjuak west into Foxe Basin. The lake is frozen most of the year.
