Placetas

Placetas (pläsāˈtäs) [key], city (1994 est. pop. 42,000), Villa Clara prov., central Cuba. Tobacco processing is the city's chief industry. Placetas is located on a major highway and serves as a railroad center. The city was founded in 1867.
