SkåneSkåne (skōˈnə) [key] or Scania skānˈyə, –ēə, historic province of extreme S Sweden, now included in Malmöhus co. Skåne, the scene of many battles, was held by Denmark until 1658, when it was conquered by Charles X of Sweden.
