Takaoka

Takaoka (täkäˈôkä) [key], city (1990 pop. 175,466), Toyama prefecture, W central Honshu, Japan, on the Sho River. A center for the Japanese aluminum industry, Takaoka also produces paper, copper, and chemicals.
