Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque tläkāpäˈkā [key], city (1990 pop. 328,031), Jalisco state, SW Mexico, in the Guadalajara valley. Its folklore and local artisanry, as well as its proximity to Guadalajara, make Tlaquepaque a popular tourist spot. It underwent commercial renovation in the 1970s to increase tourism.
