Yatsushiro

Yatsushiro (yätsōˈshĭrō) [key], city (1990 pop. 108,135), Kumamoto prefecture, W Kyushu, Japan, on Yatsushiro Bay and the Kuma River estuary. It is a major commercial center and fishing port producing cement, paper, and rayon.
