Top 10 Vinyl Albums, 2012

For the fifth year in a row, more vinyl albums were purchased than any previous year in the history of Nielsen SoundScan. In 2012, vinyl albums reached 4.6 million in sales, an increase of 19% from 2011. Of all vinyl albums sold in 2012, 67% were purchased at independent music stores. The following table lists the rank, title, artist and U.S. sales data for the top ten selling vinyl albums of 2012.
