Joan Collins

British-born actress best known for her role as the seductress Alexis, on the prime time soap Dynasty (1981–88), for which she won a Golden Globe Award in 1983. Collins studied for two years at the British Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and acting in dozens of films, including The Big Sleep (1978) and The Bitch (1979)—but achieved only minor success on the big screen. She has four ex-husbands and three children. Her sister is romance writer Jackie Collins. Joan's contribution to literature consists of an X-rated memoir entitled Past Imperfect as well as the 2002 novel Star Quality.
