1. Defined as battle deaths. Does not
include deaths from accidents.
2. A total of 454 Americans have been
killed, including 190 noncombat deaths (Nov. 3, 2007). 1,754 have been
wounded (Nov. 3, 2007). “Operation Enduring Freedom” deaths
cover other Asian regions as well as Afghanistan.
3. A total of 3,855 Americans have been
killed, including 711 non-combat deaths (Nov. 8, 2007). 28,451 were
wounded (Nov. 3, 2007). Coalition deaths: Britain, 171; Italy, 33;
Ukraine, 18; Poland, 23; Bulgaria, 13; Spain, 11; Denmark, 7; Slovakia,
4; El Salvador, 5; Latvia, 3; Thailand, 2; Estonia, 2; The Netherlands,
2; Australia, 2; Romania, 3; Hungary, Kazakhstan, 1 each (Nov. 6,
2007).
