Boisbaudran, Paul Émile Lecoq de (pôl āmēl' lukôk' du bwäbōdräN') [key], 18381912, French discoverer of the elements gallium, samarium, and dysprosium. He also made contributions in the field of spectroscopy, including his experimentation with the rare-earth metals.
