Clarens

Clarens (kläräN') [key], village, Vaud canton, W Switzerland, on the Lake of Geneva. A resort near Montreux, Clarens was once the residence of Lord Byron. The Clarens region is immortalized in Rousseau's Nouvelle Héloïse.
