Dunajec

Dunajec (dOOnä'yets) [key], river, 156 mi (250 km) long, rising in the Carpathians, S Poland, and flowing NE past Nowy Sącz into the Vistula River. There are hydroelectric stations at Rożnów (the largest in Poland), Czchów, and Czorsztyn. In 1975, Poland and Czechoslovakia adjusted their border along Dunajec to accommodate a dam near Czorsztyn.
