Fujiyoshida

Fujiyoshida (fOOjē'yōshēdä) [key], city (1990 pop. 54,804), Yamanashi prefecture, central Honshu, Japan, on the Katsura River. It is an important communications center for the Mt. Fuji region. The city has a large textile industry.
