Gávdhos

Gávdhos (gäv'&thstrok;ôs) [key], Clauda (klô'du) [key], or Cauda (kô'du) [key], small Mediterranean island, S Greece, near Crete. In the Acts of the Apostles it was the refuge of St. Paul's ship during the tempest.
