Jablonec nad Nisou (yä'blônets nät ni'sôoo) [key], Ger. Gablonz, city (1991 pop. 45,937), N central Czech Republic, in Bohemia, on the Lausitzer Neisse. It produces high-quality glassware, jewelry, and ornaments. The city has a 14th-century Gothic church.
