Poulsen, Valdemar

Poulsen, Valdemar (väl'dumär poul'sun) [key], 18691942, Danish electrical engineer. He invented (1898) the telegraphone (an early wire recorder) and the high-frequency Poulsen arc used in wireless telegraphy and radio.
