Sacy, Antoine Isaac, Baron Silvestre de (äNtwän' ēzäk' bärôN' sēlve'stru du säsē') [key], 1758–1838, French Orientalist. Sacy's works on Arabic were pioneering, and he was one of the founders of modern Arabic studies in France.
