George Hunt Weyerhaeuser

He joined the family lumber business, Weyerhaeuser Company after graduating from Yale. He worked for 12 years, first as a mill foreman then branch manager, before becoming an executive in 1957. Subsequently promoted to president, CEO and chairman, he is widely credited with reinvigorating the business by expanding and diversifying the products, extensively marketing them, and restructuring the company.
