His films include (as an actor) Days of Heaven (1978), Resurrection (1980), Raggedy Man (1981), Frances (1982), The Right Stuff (1983), Paris, Texas (1984), Country (1984), The Pelican Brief (1993) and Black Hawk Down (2001); and made for television, Dash and Lilly (1999), One Kill (2000) and After the Harvest (2001).
