Country and western singer who gained national recognition with the release of “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” (1968) and “Stand By Your Man” (1968). She also appeared on radio's Grand Ole Opry. She was married to country singer George Jones with whom she sang several duets. Died: 4/6/1998
