Geoffrey Rush

Academy Award-winning film and stage actor who was one of Australia's leading theater actors before establishing himself in feature films. He and Mel Gibson starred together in a Sydney, Australia performance of Waiting for Godot. He is best known for his Oscar-winning portrayal of mentally ill pianist David Helfgott in Shine (1996). His other films include Children of the Revolution (1997), Shakespeare in Love (1998), Quills (2000) and The Tailor of Panama (2001).
