Kathy Acker

The author of novels, short stories, essays, an opera libretto, and a screenplay, she was also a performance artist and a frequent collaborator on various musical and theatrical projects. Her works, including the novel Blood and Guts in High School (1984), are noted for their often raw language and disturbing content.
