Ani DiFranco

Intense, independent-minded singer/songwriter who has steered her own career and artistic direction from a young age. DiFranco formed her own record company, Righteous Babe, and has produced and sold all her own material, beginning with her eponymous album in 1990, and continuing with successful and critically acclaimed albums such as Not a Pretty Girl (1995), Dilate (1996), Fellow Workers (1999), and Knuckle Down (2005).
