Birthplace: New Rochelle, New York
Talented actor who was able to break the mold of teen idol and develop a career as a serious actor. Early in his career, Dillon was the object of teen adoration through roles in movies such as The Outsiders (1983) and The Flamingo Kid (1984), but then began to do smaller roles in more substantial movies. His turn as a drug-addicted loser in Drugstore Cowboy (1989) opened Hollywood's eyes however, and Dillon has gone on to command more challenging and affecting parts. His other films include To Die For (1995), In & Out (1997) and There's Something about Mary (1998).
