Jascha Brodsky violinist, teacherBorn: 6/6/1907 Birthplace: Georgia (former USSR) A student of famed violinists Eugène Ysaÿe and Efrem Zimbalist, he served as the first violinist of the renowned Curtis String Quartet for some 60 years and was also a highly respected pedagogue. Through his students, who perform in ensembles all over the world, he came to have a profound effect on the performance of string works in the 20th century.
