Brendan Fraser

Actor whose beefy good looks and tendency to star in slapstick comedies belie some solid acting talent. On the one hand, Fraser has starred as George of the Jungle (1997) and has reprised his cave man role of Link from Encino Man (1992) in a number of forgettable movies with Pauley Shore. On the other hand, he has had more serious collaborations with Albert Brooks (The Scout ,1994), with Ashley Judd (The Passion of Darkly Noon, 1995), and with Ian McKellen (Gods and Monsters, 1998).
