Sherry Stringfield

A television regular since 1989, Stringfield has held roles on the soap opera The Guiding Light (1989–92), NYPD Blue (1993–94), and E.R. (1994–96). She surprised viewers and colleagues alike by leaving E.R. at its peak in order to spend time with her family, signing a two-year no-work contract with NBC in order to do so. She joined Richard Gere and Winona Ryder in the film Autumn in New York (2000) and appeared in Dead Simple (a.k.a.Viva Las Nowhere) (2001). Stringfield returned to E.R. in 2001.
