Ellen Burstyn

A successful Broadway actress, she later garnered Academy Award nominations for her roles in the films The Last Picture Show (1971), The Exorcist (1973), Same Time Next Year (1978), Resurrection (1980), and Requiem for a Dream (2000), and won the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Alice Doesn't Live Here Any More (1974). She was the first female president of Actor's Equity (1982-85). She returned to television in 2000, starring in CBS's That's Life. She stars opposite Nicolas Cage in the 2006 remake of the cult horror flick The Wicker Man.
