Leslie Nielsen

Birthplace: Regina, Saskatchewan

After beginning his career in radio, Nielsen studied drama and dance in New York and won roles in theater, TV, and film. He has more than 50 movie credits and has appeared in numerous TV films. Most memorable are his film roles in spoofs Airplane! (1980) and The Naked Gun (1988) and his TV roles in Peyton Place (1965) and The Protectors (1969–70).
