Christopher Plummer

Plummer launched his acting career in Canadian theater and TV. A distinguished stage actor, particularly renowned for Shakespearean roles, his film credits include The Sound of Music (1965), Oedipus the King (1968), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Dolores Claiborne (1994), Twelve Monkeys (1995) and The Insider (1999). His numerous TV roles include Hamlet (1964). In 1997 he performed in a one-man show called Barrymore. His daughter is actress Amanda Plummer.
