A classically trained Shakespearean actor, Dalton has maintained a triple career, appearing regularly on stage, screen, and television. He has starred on the big screen most notably as James Bond in The Living Daylights (1987) and License to Kill (1989), and recently in Time Share (2000). His television credits include the American miniseries Centennial (1978) and Scarlett (1994), and the BBC's Jane Eyre (1983).
