Claire Danes

Talented actress who made the leap to movies from her Golden Globe-winning role in the short-lived but well regarded television series, My So-Called Life (1994). Danes has gone on to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in a remake of Romeo and Juliet (1996), and with Michele Pfeiffer in To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday (1996). She appeared as Cosette in Les Miserables (1998) with Liam Neeson and played Meryl Streep's daughter in The Hours (2002). She costarred with California's future governor in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) and with Steve Martin in the adaptation of his novel Shopgirl (2005).
