Ridley Scott

director, producer
Born: 11/30/1937

Scott began directing programs for the BBC in the 1960s and formed a production company that turned out a number of award-winning TV commercials. His first feature film, The Duellist (1977), took Best First Work at Cannes and set the tone for the Scott oeuvre: dazzling visual style.
