Each night, Ed McMahon would introduce Johnny Carson with a, rolling “Heeeeeeeeere's Johnny!,” and he was so supportive in his role as Johnny's sidekick that he became known as “the human laughtrack.” McMahon's more than 30-year tenure on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson inspired comedic impersonations that banked on his recognizable personality.
