Tom Peters

Birthplace: Baltimore, Md.

Having cut his consulting teeth at McKinsey and Co. (1974–81), he then established his own firm, the Tom Peters Group. He co-wrote a bestseller, In Search of Excellence (1982), highlighting best practices among successful corporations, then went on the lecture circuit promoting its ideas to business executives.
