Tobey Maguire

This young star of Pleasantville (1998) has already made a name for himself both onscreen and off. He has appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including Ang Lee's The Ice Storm (1997) and Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry (1997), and is pals with Leonardo DiCaprio, whom he met while both were auditioning for the television series adaptation of Parenthood. Maguire and DiCaprio eventually worked together in This Boy's Life (1993). Maguire teamed with Lee again for Ride with the Devil (1998), and starred in Lasse Hallstrom's film of John Irving's Cider House Rules (1999). He achieved superstar status with the record-breaking premiere of Spider-Man (2002).
