'N Sync

pop group

The teen dance-pop boyband not only looks and sounds like the Backstreet Boys, it is also produced and managed by the same outfit. 'N Sync, which was formed in 1996, made a splash in Europe before making it big in the U.S., with the 1998 release of 'N Sync. The group's sophomore effort, No Strings Attached, debuted in 2000 to poor reviews but record-selling sales, with 2.4 million units sold in its first week. Band members include JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass. Chasez and Timberlake appeared on the Disney Channel's The Mickey Mouse Club.
