Tim Wong

While still a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Wong started working for his family's high technology business, Arcata Associates, Inc., based in Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from college Wong eventually came to direct the company's advanced systems division. He was named CEO in 1993. To compensate for cutbacks during the 1990s in two of Arcata's major client industries, aerospace and defense, Wong expanded information technology products and services designed for business. His sister, Nancy, runs the financial operations of Arcata, while his mother, Aurora, is the general legal counsel, and his father, Buck, is chairman of the board of directors.
