Sir Fred Hoyle astrophysicistBorn: 6/24/1915 Birthplace: Bingley, Yorkshire, England prominent astrophysicist who wrote extensively about cosmological theory, the belief that the universe is in a steady state of time and space. He mockingly coined the term “Big Bang” in the 1940s, ridiculing the theory that the universe originated with an explosion.
