McMILLEN, Charles Thomas, a Representative from Maryland; born in Elmira, Chemung County, N.Y., May 26, 1952; graduated from Mansfield High School, Mansfield, Pa., 1970; B.S., University of Maryland, College Park, Md., 1974; B.A., Oxford University, Oxford, England; M.A., Oxford University (Rhodes Scholar), Oxford, England, 1978; professional basketball player; founded an electronic equipment company and served as chairman of the board of an investment firm; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundredth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 1993); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Third Congress in 1992; co-chair the President’s Commission on Physical Fitness, 1993-1998; is a resident of Crofton, Md.
