Did You Say Thank You?

Sure, getting gifts is fun. But most kids would say it's followed by one of life's most boring chores: writing thank-you notes. Ali Spizman, 14, was faced with the daunting job of writing dozens of notes after her Bat Mitzvah party last year. That's when she decided to get creative. "I knew there was a fun way to say thanks." Ali made her own special stationery-and edible thank-yous! Her friends loved them so much that Ali decided to share her ideas. She wrote The Thank You Book for Kids and has started a national campaign to remind kids how important it is to say thank you. "Those two little words can really brighten up someone's day," she says.
