Investment wizard George Soros has made more than $3 billion. But unlike some rich Americans, Soros gives away boatloads of money to his favorite causes. He was just named the Number 1 most generous American by American Benefactor magazine. Soros, 68, has given $1.5 billion so far for disaster relief, developing countries, education and health care.
